Bloggaday 292 – Roller Skating and a Pirate Adventure: A Bloggaday Double Feature pt 2

Bloggaday 292 – Roller Skating and a Pirate Adventure: A Bloggaday Double Feature pt 2

Hello and welcome to part 2 of Roller Skating and a Pirate Adventure: A Bloggaday Double Feature. Since all I’ll be talking about is the Pirate adventure part, this didn’t really need to be a double feature, but I liked it enough that I think I’ll keep the title anyways

So, the day after I roller-skated, I went to the Pirate Adventure show. If you don’t know what this is, it’s basically just a pirate version of the Medieval Times show. If you don’t know what Medieval Times is, but have been to Vegas, then it’s like the Tournament of Kings at Excalibur. If you’re lost but still reading this for some reason, let me break it down for you.

Pirate Adventure is a live show where athletic folks who can sing dress up like pirates and perform and compete and do all kinds of stuff like that. They include a bit of audience participation and my sister, her boyfriend, and my niece all got picked to do different things for the show. Well, my nephew got picked, but he didn’t want to do it, so our purple pirate moved on to my niece.

I won’t go into the performance of my individual family member *cough* my sister *cough* didn’t complete any *cough* passes to our pirate *cough*, because it doesn’t really matter since the ultimate winner is predetermined to fit the storyline.

Yada yada yada. Nobody really cares. Onto the purple pirate. Each of the pirates have their own section: purple, yellow, green etc. We ended up with the purple one. He’s the smaller, awesome-dense pirate. He’s basically the high-flyer of the bunch. He was also the goofy one, and the general consensus was that he was the best pirate of the bunch.

Since my brother wasn’t there, I was the only to spot that our purple pirate was a HUGE WWE fan. Not terribly surprising considering the fact that he was the highflyer. Throughout a lot of the show, the pirates have to try to get crowd going and there’s a bit of celebratory dancing and all of that whatnot. This is where his fanhood came in. All of his stuff came form three wrestlers in particular: Jeff Hardy, Val Venis, and Shawn “The Heartbreak Kid” Michaels.

I was going to scour the interwebs to show you some of the stuff I was talking about, but the first one I looked for was Val’s ridiculous “sexy” dance, but it wasn’t on Youtube. Because of this, I can be lazy and claim insufficient material was available.

Well, I think that’s about it.

Yeah, it might be it.

Is there anything else I could talk about?

I don’t really think so

But if I can-

Ha! Got to 1k words for the 2 Bloggadays

183 – SotW 13 – This one had it all. Pretty much every bit that’s been a major player in the SotW made its way into this one, so it’s a good one to try.

134 – SotW 5 – This particular Song of the Week featured the characters a bit truer to their original concept. After a while, I started liking Tom too much and changed him a bit which caused changes to Chuck.

227 – PWND: TSHBRotCCPS pt16 was some solid fiction content. Plus, that was probably some of the finest Final Thought I’ve ever thought up.
