Bloggaday 365 – The BloggaGoodbyeaI’llmissthisaDay Spectacular pt 2
By David “THE Bloggaday Character” Dysart

David: Man, I really wish I had a list of every title of every Bloggaday.

Avi Sutten Kabrick: Why don’t you have one?

David: Well, I started compiling a list while back, but I just never finished it.

Avi Sutten Kabrick: It seems like you have some problems with followthrough.

David: Yeah, you’re right, Mr. Kabrick. I was hoping the Bloggaday would help with that though. I just would have liked the titles for this post, but also for my last Piccaday on a sheet of paper.

Avi Sutten Kabrick: First, call me Kab. Second, you’re still doing the Piccaday?

David: Ha, yeah. Again, a problem with the whole followthrough thing. I’ll get it all up though. And I’m sorry you didn’t get more segments on the Bloggaday. I’ll definitely get you on the Postaday though.

Paul: You guys know I’m recording, right?

David: Oh! Hello, Bloggaday Readers, and welcome to the last Bloggaday. Unfortunately, yesterday’s guests are all either in hospitals or jails, so with me today is the REAL most intriguing character in the world, Mr. Avi Sutten Kabrick.

Avi Sutten Kabrick: *Inaudible pimpness*

David: Before we continue, I promised Chuck I would post some of the potential SotWs for the last few weeks. You don’t mind, do you Kab?

Avi Sutten Kabrick: It’s your show.

David: Thanks

David: That should be just about all of them though I don’t think I covered Marron 5.

Avi Sutten Kabrick: Personally, I’ve never been much for them.

David: You know what? I’m really happy “Misery” got the last SotW spot.

Avi Sutten Kabrick: Why?

David: Well… That video kind of got me a girlfriend, so I’m somewhat partial to it.

Avi Sutten Kabrick: Hmm, I have never used a music video to seduce a woman.

David: Ah, but I’m not the most intriguing characetr in the world.

Avi Sutten Kabrick: …

David: Yeah…

Avi Sutten Kabrick: I believe we are nearing the end of this Bloggaday

David: And there’s so many thing I wanted to talk about! I need to create another year just to get to it all.

Avi Sutten Kabrick: So the Bloggaday is coming back for another year?

David: After a short hiatus, definitely. I think to kick it off, I’ll have a failed Bloggaday montage. Some of the segments that never got off the ground, some Bloggaday content that was written and never had a chance. It really wasn’t only you.

Avi Sutten Kabrick: Well, I enjoyed coming on today, the last of Bloggaday: Year 1.

David: Thank you so much Kab. It was an honor. And I’m so glad you submitted to The Sand Canyon Review, the Crafton Hills art and literary magazine. I look forward to seeing your work in print. Avi Sutten Kabrick: Well, thank you, but I’m not on Facebook or Myspace, and I’m not sure what that other one was.

David: The blogspot?

Avi Sutten Kabrick: I suppose that could have been it.

David: But, blogspot is where I put the Bloggaday…

Avi Sutten Kabrick: If I’m not mistaken, we’re over our word count.

David: Oh, yes. Thank you, Bloggaday Readers, for joining me this last year. I wasn’t sure if I could write a blog every day for an entire year, but apparently I could, and I’m glad that I was able to share that with all of you. I look forward to doing it again in the near future, and I hope it’s even better than year one was. Happy Valentine’s Day and I hope you all had a great year, will have a great year, and look forward to all of the years ahead of yourself. I know I do.

Bloggaday 364 – The BloggaGoodbyeaI’llmissthisaDay Spectacular pt 1
By David “THE Bloggaday Author” Dysart

Wow, it’s been just about a year since I started the Bloggaday. And for the last 365 days, I’ve been reading “Bloggaday” with a scraggly red line under it? I kept saying that I would add it to my Word dictionary, but I suppose there’s not much reason to do THAT anymore.
As I sit here, adding replacing a sentence with that last little bit there, I just realized I never crowned a Podcaster of the Year. Which is hard. I haven’t been following the awesomeness that is Shwood, rather we’re talking about Scam School, The BB Live Show, NSFW, Brian Brushwood: On the Road, Frame Rate (which I’ve never seen), DIAF (again, never even heard of). Though he is the only podcaster I’ve seen a live show of. The real race is between Mike Schmidt of The 40 Year Old Boy Podcast and Scott Sigler, New York Times Best Selling Author.
Wow, this is “pull your hair out” hard. I mean, I’ve got the last episode of Ancestor sitting in my iPhone, but I’ve been listening to SOOOO much Schmidt lately because I’ve been going back and listening to old episodes.
Jeeze, the Podcaster of the Year is

Paul: dudududududududuududduududududu

Mike Schmidt
Of
The 40 Year Old Boy podcast

That was really hard, and I expect ScottSigler to become the prim suspect in an upcoming murder investigation.
Well, I have 45 minutes to write this one, 365, and clipshow both of them and post 7 Bloggadays. If I can do that, then I succeeded.

The last couple of weeks have definitely been interesting though. I had been falling quite far behind, but I had been working on The Third Great Trigady. I ended up with a lot of Bloggaday ideas that I wasn’t able to do and many Bloggaday segments that failed rather epicly. I think to talk about this, I’d like to bring out some faces, familiar and new ones alike.
Hosts of The Song of the Week, I’d like to introduce for the last time, Tom and Chuck.

Tom: Hello, everyone.

Chuck: Hi, Bloggaday Readers.

David: You seem to be doing pretty good, Tom.

Tom: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Chuck got worked up over nothing the other day.

David: Since I’m introducing you guys, I should mention the official Bloggaday producer, Paul Modes.

Paul: *Inaudible nod*

Chuck: Don’t worry, he’ll take care of that in post-production.

David: Well, next up, we have the folks that were SUPPOSED to take your guys’s role on the Performer of the Month.

Tom: What ever happened to that?

David: Well, I don’t know, Tom. They kept having these mysterious accidents, so I figured it would have been safer for their fictional necks if the segment just got cancelled.

Tom: That or you just never got around to writing the bits.

David:… *Inaudible glare* In any case, let’s bring out Jack and Dan

Jack: Hello, ladies and gentlemen. I’d like to welcome you all to the Performer of the Month for the month of August. I am your Irish co-host, Jack Duff

Dan: Haha. And I’m your Spanish co-host Dan Valentinez Alkalinella Xifax Sicidabohertz Gombigobilla Blue Stradivari Talentrent Pierre Andre Charton-Haymoss Ivanovici Baldeus George Doitzel Kaiser III.

Jack: HAHAHA there, Dan. I thought your middle name was Andri.

Dan: That’s a common misconception there, Jack.

Tom: What in the HELL are you guys doing?

Jack: Haha, well we had taped a bit of our first Performer of the Month segment back in August, but it never saw the glow of a computer monitor, so we thought we would grace our lucky readers with it now. *Audible smile*

Tom: I Hate both of you coc-

Chuck: TOM!

Tom: And what about that whole middle name thing?

David: Don’t worry about that, Tom. It was just a gag that was going to get picked up with each of their posts. Hey, guys, whatever happened to Lisa? I haven’t heard from her since her interview with Tychus on Char.

Jack: To be honest, I stopped LISTENING to her after the Christmas Par-

Tom: That could’ve been my line, you little bi-

Chuck: TOM!

Jack: I’m sorry, who are you guys again?

Tom: YOU!

Chuck: You know, what? Go get him.

*Tasmanian devil dust cloud*

David: So, Chuck. Do you think now would be a good time to sign out?

Chuck: Probably. Looks like I’ve got to go take care of that Dan. Sign us off, David.

David: Well, Bloggaday Readers, thank you for joining me today. We’ll be right back right after this.

Bloggaday 363 – The Third Great Trigady pt 14

Bloggaday 363 – The Third Great Trigady pt 14
By David “That Ain’t No Canary” Dysart

The time has come yet again for another clipshow, this time the last for Bloggaday: Year 1. There’s still a few more regular posts coming, but The Third Great Trigady is going to fill most of the remaining year. Each of these posts contain some of the best of the last third of the Bloggaday, and my new comments add up to the 500-word word count.

Enjoy a look back at the last 100 posts. Until next time…

http://tiny.cc/Bloggaday346
“It was a football living room.

Johnny’s eyes found his own toy, but the sight only dragged his smile into a snarl.”

Bloggaday 346 – PWND: The Tot Tales: A Very Tweedy Christmas pt 2 was another post I enjoyed. It still needs a good edit, but I’ll probably never get to it. I think It’s got solid POV work though (I know a spot or two that are a bit rough because I decided to do it that way). I don’t know. It’s a solid read especially if you’re a Sigler fan. Or a Tweedy fan. (That ain’t no canary [And that sure as hell ain’t no cow])

http://tiny.cc/Bloggaday353
“At his full lean and with feet churning, Ju charged into the broad side of the gun. The plastic started to bend around his face. As his body began to catch up with his head, the P56 Carboin became infected with fractures and cracks until it completely snapped in two.

Wabbling the ball over his smashed face, Johnny smugged, “You’ve got to cover up. Daddy doesn’t fumble the ball like a bitch.”

Hoho, go Johnny, go.

Deep down the Planetary League, in Thomas 3
Way back up in the dives among the skyscrapers to dwell
There stood a family made of scraps and charity
Where lived a planetary boy name Johnny Tweedy
Who never cared to read or write so well
But he would lead a defense one day through hell

He used to carry his contempt in a snarled face
Go sit beneath the tree where the mykoceae lay
Oh, his mother would see him sitting in the shade
Opening his package that they had paid
The future would sway on this very moment way
Oh my, those little planetary boys will play

Go go
Go Johnny go

His mother told him, “Someday you’ll be earth-bound,
And you two will be the pride of all Thomas 3
Many people coming from planets around
To see you, my boys be the glory of Thomas 3
Someday you’ll be in the holosets down town
Glory be to Thomas 3.”

Go go
Go Johnny go!

That there would be his first fumble recovery from his brother, Ju. I suppose you’ll need to read the Rookie series from Scott Sigler to find out if it was his last. It’s funny, I put the Hoho, go Johnny, go. And was going to leave it at that when it struck me, “Hey, that’s a song.” A few short minutes later, a parody was born. A horrible parody, mind you, but a parody none the less. It’s Johnny B Goode by Chuck Berry. I can’t imagine it flows terribly well with the music, but I don’t remember the music and didn’t care enough to go that extra mile.
Though, you should read the original Bloggaday that inspired that parody. It’s a solid Sigler Fan Fic.

FILL THE HOLE!

Bloggaday 360 – Wall: 6 David: 11 was rather disappointing for a wall Bloggaday. The first one was pretty epic, that post really pwnd, and then the next one had a Star Trek parody video by myself. If you would like to know about these actually awesome wall posts, then feel free to go to this post.
Now let’s take a look at the clips from this particular Bloggaday. I will say that I’ve been listening to WWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY to much 40 Year Old Boy. My nickname is coming from the “I’m gonna eat pie out of your skull…” scene, which is referencing Tom Cruz’s Color of Money. Host of The 40 Year Old Boy, Mike Schmidt, came out with The Mike Schmidt Podcasting Network, which I shortened to TheMiSPoNe for the Prince is a Dick short.
And I’m rambling something fierce, but I have an hour and 40 minutes to finish this post, write 2 outro Bloggadays and get the last 7 or so posts posted.
So yeah, the Twitter also amused me as a football announcer.

http://tiny.cc/Bloggaday361
“Ha! In you face Verizoninjas. Catch me now!

I will say it’s a good thing I’m almost at 155, because it’s a drag to keep updated. While I’ll keep climbing even after I make 155, I’m not sure if I’ll keep track of my climbs this well. I’m sure I will, because if I don’t I’m going to be pissed at myself 2 months down the line. Yeah, I’ve talked myself into it. I’m going to track my progress all quarter. Are you happy? If it wasn’t for this blog post, I probably would have stopped and been perfectly content for two months. Thanks a lot, Bloggaday Readers. Like I didn’t have enough on my plate being the PR Director for Southern California premiere international art and literary magazine, The Sand Canyon Review, which you can find on Facebook AND Myspace.

* I was actually listening to I Wanna Run, and thought, “Hey, this is good running music. I should go do that.”**
** So I immediately sprinted to my computer and spent half an hour*** making a good playlist for running.
*** It was actually probably 45 seconds on my iPhone,****
**** But this has got a bit more of that hyperbolic taste I wanted to leave in your mouth.”

And I will say, that rather large paragraph is missing its first sentence, and that’s a good thing because that first sentence is probably the most boring thing I’ve ever written here on the Bloggaday. At the very least it’s part 1 of the most boring thing ever written. If you would like to know more (since this all has probably been the second most boring thing I’ve ever written on the Bloggaday [and please, write me if you’ve found even more boring things in the Bloggaday {maybe we can kick off year two, the “Postaday” with some sort of compilation.

Hmm, I just came up with that, and I think I like it.
The Postaday: Revenge of the Bloggaday
The Postaday: Bloggaday, Year 2
The Postaday: The Bloggaday Strikes Back

Yeah, all of this is going on next year’s compilation (boring, not awesome [like there was any confusion on your part])

Anyways, I will say, the first clip is actually a refernce to the In Yo Face Bloggadays, and I wanted so bad to make another reference to it with respect to the “Catch me now” bit, but since I took a nap on the last day of the Bloggaday, I have like an hour to do everything. BAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH. So yeah, I’m going to leave this clip here.

Tom: Wow, Chuck. I can’t believe it’s already almost over.

Chuck: What, the Bloggaday? The Song of the Week? Our time together?

Tom: No, this glass. I need a refill.

Tom: Tom motherfu, muth, motherkuffing, wait that’s not right.

Chuck: Have a great Valentine’s Day everyone. It looks like I’ll be spending mine getting Tom’s stomach pumped at the hospital.

Tom: And ii looks like I’ll be spenning mind pumpin yo wife. Hahahaha

Come one, you’re not going to run into a more eclectic and awesome single-digit list of songs on any blog-a-day websites or endeavors.
As a whole, I was rather disappointed that the last SotW of the year didn’t get a chance to go out with a bang. There was quite a bit of clip-worthy stuff that I didn’t include, so you should go read it, but it definitely could have been better. This bare-bones version ran about 300 words long than it should have been, so I just couldn’t really fancy it up.
There are several references, which will actually probably make it even worse for the average schmo, but oh well, what are you going to do?
I will say, that’s not quite how I wanted to end it. It was going to be more like

“Chuck: Have a great Valentine’s Day everyone. It looks like I’ll be spending mine getting Tom’s stomach pumped at the hospital.

Tom: And ii looks like I’ll be spenning mind pumpin yo wife. Hahahaha

Chuck: Come on, Tom, let’s get you up… You know, you can help here, right Paul?

Paul: I suppose I could, but I don’t actually work with you guys anymore.

Chuck: …

Paul: Yeah, good luck with that.”

You know what? I don’t think I ever shared with you guys my mental picture of Paul. I’ve ALWAYS though of him has a blue collar version of this guy, completely unflared: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_aPU6AU0hM
Mr. Hannibal Means is Mr. Paul Modes.

http://tiny.cc/Bloggaday364

I really didn’t have enough time to develop this Bloggaday. Though I did cram quite a few word into a 500-word word limit…

“Avi Sutten Kabrick: First, call me Kab. Second, you’re still doing the Piccaday?

Avi Sutten Kabrick: *Inaudible pimpness*

Avi Sutten Kabrick: So the Bloggaday is coming.

David: No, the Postaday is coming, in all its glory, and all its horror…

Ooo, burn from the most intriguing character in the world… and more references. Actually, I didn’t clipshow the references, so you’ll just have to go read the original post ^.^
Actually, I did include one reference, but it comes from the very last words of The Bloggaday.
Though I will say, The Bloggaday ended like the last SotW. Not terrible, but it should have been MUCH better. I guess I just set the bar low for next year.

Chuck: Hello, Bloggaday Readers, and welcome to a very special Song of the Week Special. We would like to thank you all for joining us on the last Song of the Week

Tom: Don’t worry, you can start drinking in about 450 words.

Chuck: Yes, well, we’d like everyone to drink responsi-

Tom: Actually, you could do what I’m doing and start drinking now.

POP!

Chuck: TOM! We’re in the middle of a show… Where in the hell did you get a sword to open the champagne?

Tom: Come on, Chuck. Have a glass.

Chuck: Oh, all right.

Tom: …

Chuck: … Thank you.

Tom: Wow, Chuck. I can’t believe it’s already almost over.

Chuck: What, the Bloggaday? The Song of the Week? Our time together?

Tom: No, this glass. I need a refill.

Chuck: … Thanks, Tom. So… about this week’s songs. Since we’ve been off the web for so long, we’ve got quite the back log.

Tom: QUITE the backlog.

Chuck: So we’ve basically taken what would have been the Song of the Week of each group of songs and then this Week’s song will be chosen from that pool.

Tom: I probably couldn’t have said it better myself.

Chuck: Thanks. I know I don’t usually do much with the mu-

Tom: I’m pretty sure I could’ve said that better, but in the spirits of Valentine’s Day, I’ll let it slide.

Chuck: Yeah, yeah, yeah. What’s first?

Tom: Our first song and most recent acquisition is
“My Name is Prince”
by
Prince

Chuck: It look like Prince brought another nine of his songs to the Bloggaday this week. That’s a bit much, even for the Song of the Week

Tom: Well, with The 40 Year Old Boy posdcast http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/episode-forty-five-year-three/id277138218?i=90995615 had a Prince-centric episode and even referenced the Chappele's Show skit about prince http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PaKHR6oe52Q, both of which were so good, it just seemed fitting.

Chuck: And next?

Tom: The greatness that can be chick music, with just a bit of sentimental value for our Bloggaday Author and accompanying the rest of the Deluxe edition of Hands All Over
“Misery”
By
Maroon 5

Chuck: Third?

Tom: 3rd is meah
“Ball and Chain”
by
Social Distortion

Chuck: Fourth?

Tom: 4th is a good song that paid its dues before finally coming the Bloggaday iTunes
“Beverly Hills”
by
Weezer

Chuck: Yes, it faced some… stiff… competition, didn’t it?

Tom: As a matter of fact, yes it did. To the “Nth degree”

Chuck: And fifth?

Tom: Another one of the heavy hitters here,
“Holiday (Live)”
by
Green Day

Chuck: Sixth?

Tom: A solid contender,
“You’re Gonna Go Far Kid”
by
The Offspring

Chuck: Lucky number sleven?

Tom: That would be another titan of this week’s field
“She Fucking Hates Me”
By

Chuck: And Eighth?

Tom: That was actually a week of phenom free songs, this one beating out “1,000 Faces” and “MoneyGrabber”
“I Just Wanna Run”
By

Chuck: Number Nine would be?

Tom: That one’s coming off another big week, a Christmas Cd,
“Effect and Cause”

Chuck: We’re already over our word count, so we really should just announce a winner, don’t you think?

Tom: Woah, thish champagne’s finally star_ing to hit meah. You shou do iii.

Chuck: … Thank you, Tom. That means a lot. This very well could be our last Song of the Week, and you’re giving me the last Song announcement. Thank you.

Tom: …

Chuck: The final Song of the Week for year one of THE Bloggaday is…

Bloggaday 361 – End of Year Fitness Report

Bloggaday 361 – End of Year Fitness Report
By David “12-Inch Pythons” Dysart

Date: February 12, 2011
Weight: 175
Fat %: 14
Heart: 72
Waist: 35 ½ ??
Hips: 39 ½ ??
Thighs: 20 ½ ??
Arms: 12

So the last time I did this MONTHLY segment was way back in September apparently. Ugh. I couldn’t even get good measurements for this though because I couldn’t find tape measure thing.
As for what I’ve been doing to working out and whatnot, I might be able to give a slightly more accurate description.

Last quarter, I was rock climbing and doing yoga 3 times a week. Once I started climbing, I was doing less and less weight training until I wasn’t doing any at all.
5 weeks into this quarter, and all I’m really doing is rock climbing 3 or so times a week. I will say it’s about a 15 minutes walk from the gym to where I park, with a few hills distributed in between. It’s not much shorter from my last class TO the gym, so at least I do a bit of walking… I suppose. Though I want to get back into doing weights. So hopefully in the next week or two I can start getting back into the swing of things. I haven’t even been doing much in the way of yoga.
I don’t know, I need to do something or my weight might be swinging back up in the near future. I will say though, this about the best shape I’ve ever been in. Just before I started college in 2007, I went to Hawaii for a couple of weeks. When I came home, I was about 173 or so, so I’m about where I was back then. Again though, there’s been a few hills in between those 2.
Back in Fall of 2009, I was about 220, so I’m feeling pretty good. While I wouldn’t mind losing another pound or two, what I would like to do is put on some muscle, so I guess we’ll see how that goes in the near future.
And hey, hold the presses, I think I have some ability to jog now! I felt like doing some running a week or two ago,* so I set out. I decided I wanted to get some stuff from the store, so I jogged the long way there. Now usually about half that distance, I’m in the fetal position trying to suck in as much oxygen as I can,**** but I actually just jogged all the way there. Ha! In you face Verizoninjas. Catch me now!
Well, to close out this Bloggaday, I’m going to leave you with my immaculate record keeping of climbs I’ve been doing this quarter.

Bloggaday 360 – Wall: 6 David: 11

Bloggaday 360 – Wall: 6 David: 11
By David “It’s Like a Nightmare, isn’t It?” Dysart

Some time ago, I posted my rock wall Bloggaday exploits here Bloggaday http://tiny.cc/Bloggaday260 and http://tiny.cc/Bloggaday261 and then an update with video http://tiny.cc/Bloggaday278
Since then, I’ve started writing an update, but I can’t find it on my Mac. Though, a score would probably be rather silly anyways. If you took a look at those posts, you would see that I started keeping score between the wall and myself. I was going to give myself a point for every new route I was able to do and for landmarks like doing 10 climbs in one trip. It’s been a while though, and while the wall has bested once or twice, the numbers are going to start getting up there.

Anyways, this quarter I started The Mile High Challenge where you climb the equivalent of a mile in a quarter. For those of us who are afraid of that giant ball of fusion-powered fire and plasma, that means 155 climbs on the indoor wall at CSUSB. Well, I’m halfway through the quarter and sitting on 119 (and a half) climbs. Getting to 155 won’t be hard (and would score me another point if I was still keeping track).
Hmm, with all this talk about scores, I wonder what it would look like…
Clean (monocolor routes [which is a shame, because I do a bunch of multicolor routes])

Purple
Orange
Brown (1)
Orange (2)
White
Green
Brown (2)

So that’s another 7 points for routes. That’s more like a dozen if you count multi-colored routes, but I’m going to count those.

I’ve bouldered both ways, so that’s another 2 points. That’s 9 + 1 from before for 10 points. I’ve also polished off 10 climbs in a day (13 is my best), so that’s 11 points.

As for the wall, I’ve been stymied and still haven’t been able to cleanly climb anything in the chimney, so that’s a point for it (4). Umm, I’ve hurt both of my arms on the wall, so that’s another 2 points.
Now, my right forearm is one of those things that if I pick up my laptop and anything else that torques my arm, there’s a sharp pain about halfway up. The green route definitely exasperated the problem, but I think I’m pretty good now.
For my other arm, it’s a little patch of my bicep just above the nook of my elbow. I hurt it early December (I think. For all I can remember, it could have been November). I took a week off during break, came back, and it still hurt. I got an elbow brace and took another week off. And it still hurt.
I haven’t taken anymore weeks off, but over the last week or two, it was finally started to feel better. I was rather ecstatic, but then real life happened and I was lifting stuff, and sure enough, I hurt it again. This has been a recent development, so I’m not sure if it’s going to last another 3 months or if it’ll be fine in the near future.
So when we add all of this up, that’s Wall: 6 David: 11
It’s like a nightmare, isn’t it?

Well, I was going to post my progress on the Mile High Challenge, but then I got distracted will all of this competitive talks. I think tomorrow I’ll post that as well as one last fitness update.

“Bloggaday 340 – Lifeboat psychology pt 1
By David “Physcics Professor, Psych Major, El Capitan, And All Around Good Guy” Dysart

Things you didn’t know about me, eh? Well, here’s one. I was once cast asea in a lifeboat with 4 other people. I won’t go into the back-story, but needless to say, discount cruise to Mehheeco, yadda yadda yadda, I’m drinking tequila in a deflating rubber bottle top of a death trap.
So, as I said, the raft isn’t doing too good. I’ll spare you the dramatics of the conversation, but we decided that one of us had to jump off of the raft. Hey! You weren’t there. don’t judge me! Sure, I brought it up, and I might have implied I was a physics professor and the raft wasn’t capable of sustaining that many people, but it’s not like I said that the jumpee had just sink. They could tread water. I mean, we’re in the middle of the ocean. We’re bound to run into some rebellious land that has risen up against its water oppressors.
So, where was I? That’s right, we were trying to decide who would go overboard. Well, talks had barely started when the other guy in the boat just leaned back went overboard.
It was the damndest thing.
I’m not ashamed to admit I wept openly for that great man. Deep down, I think he knew that shark had been circling the boat. I mean, the way I had been throwing up… In hindsight, yeah, the half-digested shrimp in my gut were of course going to bring meat-eaters around.
So, yeah, I cried. But then I realized that in the very near future, it was going to be 3 women and me on a deserted island… I just couldn’t remain sullen about my brave boatmate’s fate.
Well, I might have realized that situation before I openly wept, and the tears MIGHT have been fake, but it’s the action that counts, not the thought.
Hmm, when exactly was it that I realized that his absence left the odds very favorable for me? But I tried saving him. I really really tried. Just ask the girls. I lunged for him as he went overboard. None of them did. I don’t think they were really paying attention to him. But me? It’s just a shame we were sitting across from each other. Had I been closer, maybe I could have saved that brave and noble man.
I mean, I wish I could see a replay of it. I actually made contact with him as he went overboard, but I just couldn’t grab him. But, it’s not just my amazing physical prowess that almost saved my fallen comrade. It’s really my keen ability to read people. I don’t want to brag or anything, but I am a psych major. I could see it in his body language. It just wasn’t right…

Oh, I’m sorry. Did I just copy/paste the entire Bloggaday into a clipshow? You’re dim right I did. The clipshow that is The Third Great Trigady is home of the best of the best of the Bloggaday. And guess what? Part 1 of Lifeboat Psychology was just that dim good. So you can put that in Tom’s antique pipe and suck on it all night long.

“Bloggaday 341 – Lifeboat psychology pt 2
By David “Carpenter Square Shoulders” Dysart

Because I was sensing this, I started one of those silent, face conversations guys can have.* He was actually quite pleading in it. He brought up a very good point. What if we make our way to some deserted island, and then there’s some sort of global catastrophe that wipes out all of mankind? The job of repopulated the planet would fall to those in the raft. Apparently it was all a bit too much pressure for him. You glanced at the three women and communicated to me, “I just can’t do it. I simply don’t have the stamina for THREE women. But you! Good genes have made you tall. And those shoulders, man! If you tattooed framing on your collarbone, a carpenter would be using them.**” Come to think of it, I had seen him on the cruise earlier. He was wearing those really short volley ball shorts. The weird thing is though, there wasn’t a volleyball court on the ship. The plus about these nonverbal conversations though is the fact that I didn’t have to listen to his lisp.
Anyways, so I could see how torn up he was. He didn’t want the responsibility of possibly being the father of a new global population, but he didn’t have the nerve to make the leap.
I knew what I had to do. This valiant man was willing to give up his life for the good of mankind. I had to do my part though. I leapt for him and gave him a good shove. He freaked out a little as he went over. I’m not sure if it was having second thoughts or if it was just instinct, but he locked onto my arm like a rat getting chucked over a cheesy E. Luckily, once the shark got him, he let right go and didn’t embarrass himself anymore.
As for me, I never made it to that deserted island with the Miss July, Miss, August, and Miss*** November. The Coast Guard found our little boat about fifteen minutes later. I suppose the moral of the story is, when things look bleak and grim, just jump off. It’ll give somebody somewhere a really good story.

* Girls, forget that you ever read that. Men have NOT in fact developed a system of communication that has been passed down father-to-son. Though, if there were such a system devised, it would have been created by Abraham and Isaac.^

Now tomorrow wraps up Lifeboat Psychology, but I can’t imagine I’m going to copy/paste the entire thing again. It’s just an explanation for the previous 2 posts. I’m sure I was on a role though and there was something clipshow-able in it. See you then;

“Bloggaday 342 – Lifeboat psychology pt 3
By David “Full of Post-Horse Feed” Dysart
AKA David “Childlike, Desire-Driven, and Impulse-Ridden” Dysart

As I hope you’d have guessed by now, the preceding story wasn’t in fact true. Though as they say, every lie begins with a grain of truth. Such is the case with this one. While I’ve never been in a life raft, I’ve been on a cruise to Mehheeco. But, that’s a pretty fine grain truth, so I’ll go with the good, thick grain that’s buried under this pile of… post-horse feed.
On the first day of my first psychology class, we played a game. It was called
…*
…*
…*
Lifeboat!**

The class was broken up into groups of 4 or five. My group was 2 guys and 3 girls.*** The situation for the game was that one of us had to jump off of the boat and get eaten by the sharks**** in order for the others to survive.*****
In the end, the game is an example of the id, ego, superego (as proposed by a guy named Sigmund [and how his life got flip turned upsidedown******]) While I don’t really remember her schpeal post-game, I think I understand the three well enough to convey the message on a blog that has brought such educational nuggets as the Law of Special Baconivity (http://thebloggaday.blogspot.com/2010/04/bloggaday-73-pwnd-with-side-of-bacon.html) and Women Explained: Missing Periods and the Compulsive “P” That Follows (http://tiny.cc/Bloggaday307).
People who just won’t jump (won’t give a reason, they just won’t jump) are being dominated by their id, the childlike, desire-driven, and impulse-ridden part of you. People who use religion (and similar moral-based reasoning for our agnostic and atheistic audience) in their choice are using their superego, this being where our values and core beliefs are. Now, people who use the ego, are reasoning with the practicalities in front of them to calculate jump-value.
In my group, there really was a guy who just said, yep, I’ll go. He didn’t give a reason. He just jumped (No, I didn’t push him off of our imaginary life raft). So, when it came time for us to say who jumped, I got the finger of death and had to say who and why they jumped. Well. There wasn’t much to say, but this is where the whole “I don’t know, he just jumped. I tried to grab him,” yada yada yada thing came in. I suppose you had to be there. Though that probably wouldn’t have helped that much. I was there and my own wit didn’t astound me to an extent that I clearly remember it. But you know what? I just milked 3 Bloggadays out of it, so I’m happy.

*** Hey! 2 and 3 = 5!^^
**** While I gave a reason for the circling sharks in my story, the Psych teacher didn’t. :-(
***** If one person from a 5-person raft had to jump, doesn’t that mean that the 4-person rafts would have been fine?^^^
****** I really need to stop going to Will Smith and the Fresh Prince of Bellaire for my musical reference

^^ You also may have been able to figure that out by the story.

HEY! That’s way too much awesomeness there! That’s for compact awesomeness only. You’ll have to find someplace else to clipshow it. Nothing to see here folks. Move along while we get this matter straightened out.
Yeah, so I ended up just copy/pasting the entire thing. These 3 are the only ones I’ve done this to. It’s a pretty big deal. They’re 1 in a 100, really. In the 99th percentile. This post had another first. Many times, I’ve want to toss an “AKA” in there and give myself another nickname, but I always fought the urge. My will wavered this time though and I gave in. As terrible as it sounds though, I loved that moment. It was such a real moment.”

Bloggaday 343 – That’s what she said pt 2 wasn’t anything special. Because of the Third Great Trigady, I knew I was running out of free Bloggadays, so I decided it was finally time to throw it out to the wolves that is absolutely no one reading it.
Now, I wanted to say that last paragraph, but I also wanted to make a comment on the second clip from Bloggaday 343. I actually tend to enjoy these moments because, as I said, they’re real, Raw, kick you in the balls, life experiences. And it’s not like I’m an Ubermunch or anything, but they’re just moments everyone needs to experience, and I’m a tad bit behind. There are other moments that I look forward to happening, an others that I have NO interest in happening. They’re all going to happen though, so it’ll be interesting to get a glimpse of my hindsight after them.

So what did I do? Surely, I scoured my options, broke down the door of the secret meeting place of these people and recruited the very best and brightest.
Yeah… That’s not what slackers do. You can look it up in the dictionary, but usually definition 3 in most up-to-date dictionaries say something along the lines of: “A person or entity that stays away from one or more of the following activities: scouring, finding secret and well-hidden meeting places, forcefully destroying doors, shucking clams, recruiting people, especially on the basis of brightness and qualifications of being the best.”

Don’t I just inspire your trust and awe as a PR Director? I get the feeling I’m glad I can’t actually hear your responses.

Beyond this though, I’m trying to get a job. /Sigh. How do people with lives have time for anything? I barely have any semblance one,``` no job, and for a couple of more days, no school, and I’m having to schedule time for me to breath here. Though, if Riley Litzenluxchemetroplisvilletownshipberger is reading this, I have a Mac, so I have a nifty little calendar built into my Laptop that automatically syncs with my phone, so no matter where I go, I know exactly when to breathe since it was so user-friendly to schedule my breaks into it. HA!

``` A life that is.
Nothing spectacular from this Bloggaday, but I hit on some pretty solid notes I think. The post itself was about my upcoming role as PR Director for the art and literary Magazine, The Sand Canyon Review, which has been getting quite a bit of press lately on the clip shows. http://tiny.cc/Bloggaday335
“When X= phone,
and while
xInept + xInept = stupidly long xcalls,
xInept + xHater = short calls.
That builds a positive image of the xInept, which is good since xInept needs all of the good press he can muster. Though, really, I’m not THAT utterly socially inept. Well, I am, but I manage. You see niceness and funniness make for the perfect smokescreen to cover up my social incompetence. Funny is the smoke, and nice is the screen. Combined, they form the perfect amalgam of social coverfire. In reality, I have all the social aptitude of Helen Keller
bioautographical
I mean, how do you not love a narrator saying, “Her head swayed back, lips pulled into a smile that would have made Liberace play straight for a night as he fingered the beat above her long ivories.”
Twitter Tag
Yeah, I’m done writing nov** only on Bloggaday –David “Ivory Admirer” Dysart”
Oh, “Another Day In the Life,” why do you amuse me so?
I will say though that the whole “nov**” took me a minute to remember what exactly I did. But it’s me cutting the “w” in half because I was utterly done with that Bloggaday. Meah, I seemed rather pleased with myself when did it.
And I must add, that I do enjoy the word, “bioautographical.” It’s taking real people and putting them into fiction. I’m sure there’s already a word for it (And I don’t mean something like the alternative history genre), but I like mine.
All in all, Bloggaday 320 – ABDF: Phone Calls and Another Day in the Life: A Bloggaday Double Feature pt 2 was another solid Bloggaday.
“By David “This Is A Boring Bloggaday, So Just Read The Previous Or Next Bloggaday Instead Of This one, If You Would Be So Kind” Dysart
Well, now it’s time for TEXTS!
/Cue crazy Peewee Herman scene.
Awkward blog pause… … !!! … …
Yeah… So anyways…
Now, this is me being in my own head, but bare with me.``
Anyways, back to the perioded single-word text, right after this line break.
Hey, welcome back. SO```
`` I suppose you could bear with me, but how are we going to shake the it?^
``` I’m sorry; I totally didn’t mean to yell that “so.” It should have been “So.”

^ And since absolutely no one is going to get that reference,^^ I’ll add that I could be persuaded to be beered with, but as the double feature mentioned, I’m good just hanging around drunken folks.
^^ I wish I didn’t get the reference, but my brother made sure that it would forever be scarred in my brainial tissue.
^^^ While I didn’t cover the emphasis possibility, you can probably figure it out.”

I’m not ENTIRELY sure why I was hating on Bloggaday 336 – Single word texts with a period so much. Granted, it was a horrible premise, but I think the execution came off not terrible. At the very least, I deemed it good enough to toss into the Third Great Trigady.

http://tiny.cc/Bloggaday337
“or send your Verizoninjas after me.

After all, it’s got 3G.```

Well, shitake mushrooms weren’t cooked up, because… well… I don’t eat mushroom, but I digress.

``` Granted, it is AT&T 3g, but nonetheless”
I almost wish that “or send your Verizoninjas after me” was the only bit I took from Bloggaday 337 – In Yo Face! Pt 1. Come on? Wait a minute, why did I ask “Come one”? That was just poor punctuating. Well, I ended up spreading the hate to Verizon AND AT&T, so I’m not companyist.
Yeah, I’m just babbling. “Type to you all real soon.”
http://tiny.cc/Bloggaday338
“They replaced it with a shmexy box. Now, when I wrote this, I was going to put a picture of my box on here, but that now seems entirely inappropriate.
The lazy-to-need ratio just isn’t right for me to do so yet.
^.^
Bloggaday 338 – In Yo Face! Pt 2 is the follow-up release by Bloggaday Author David Dysart and his wildly unreleased post, Bloggaday 337 – In Yo Face! Pt 1.
I will tell you, there are still a few little nuggets of gold in the original post that I didn’t add to the clipshow. I suppose if you want to go panning for gold, you should probably go read the actual post ^.^
But no, there’s no pictures of my box on there. You have to buy me dinner for that -_o
Hmm, -_o doesn’t really feel the same as ;)
Meah. Onto the next clip!
Bloggaday 356 – The Third Great Trigady pt 11
By David “Avi Sutten Kabrick” Dysart
The time has come yet again for another clipshow, this time the last for Bloggaday: Year 1. There’s still a few more regular posts coming, but The Third Great Trigady is going to fill most of the remaining year. Each of these posts contain some of the best of the last third of the Bloggaday, and my new comments add up to the 500-word word count.
Enjoy a look back at the last 100 posts. Until next time…
“My Awesome Tweets One (MAT1)
I knew there would be a day.
A day when the ideas would stop coming
A day when the Bloggaday machine would fail. A day the people of the internet would sing songs about.
My good Bloggaday Readers, today is that day.
Rejoice not internet peasants.
I knew a day like this would come so I devised a plan.
A plan so horrible
A plan so despicable.
A plan that will scare the children at the end of every bedtime story for years to come.
RELEASE THE TWEETS!
: Jackoff of all trades, understander of none
My research has proven that teens+cameras+wheeled transportation = schadenfreude. I wonder if I was working with a sample bias though
Of course Big Balls isn't about dancing. It's a social commentary on Victorian England and mandates of an Oligarchy culture O_o”
Bloggaday 323 – MAT1: Mandates of an Oligarchy Culture had been sitting in the chamber for quite some time. As the intro suggests, it’s just been waiting to get dropping into the Bloggaday feed. The thing is though, I didn’t finally release the tweets because I ran out of ideas. I just wanted to fill a couple of spots with already done Bloggadays. I needed to see how long this, The Third Great Trigady would end up being, and to do that, I needed to actually get clips from all of the Bloggadays.
Well, I think that’s all the rambling I’m going to do on the subject.
“It’s time to say goodbye, so long, farewell a… avee…
So today marks the sixth` and final Santos Manuel Student Union Observation Paper.
The absorbing darkness of her grey sweater paired with the melting blue of deep denim pants and her utter stillness sparks thoughts of random observers and wandering students. “Is she some new piece of art making some obscure point sitting outside the pub?” Rather “Val” is her name or her title, she stays at her table, independent and unaffected by the background. Inky-black slip-on shoes shelter her feet, striving to be mistaken for a pair ballerina shoes’ older, emo cousin
` Yes, folks, I can spell numbers as well. I’m just usually too lazy to do that.”
Bloggaday 325 – SPF PWND: Santos Manuel Student Union: An Observation pt 6. Yeah, the cuddling just wasn’t as good as the money shot. If you are confused or bewildered, then you obviously didn’t read my comments on part 5 clipshow. You should really go do that. While you do, I’ll just move onto the next Bloggaday clip. I’ll see you there. Just hurry back.
Sorry, while you (maybe not you in particular, but your fellow Bloggaday Reader Companion) were gone, I decided to go all meta with this post, so I’ll add one last clip from Bloggaday 325
“Twitter Tag``
Hey, I’m just cuddling with the Santos Manuel, only on Bloggaday http://tiny.cc/Bloggaday325
`` I actually wrote the clipshows before posting this Bloggaday. The cuddling bit of the Twitter Tag is actually a reference to that. Hey, you should probably go read that. It’ll be towards the end of the Bloggaday”
Yeah, that just happened. I subscribe to a Timelord theory of time travel.
“I had two things to do: Make a kunai for myself and a jumbo key for my nephew since he’s always had an affinity for keys. I think he was just easily distra oooo shiny…
A little taste of how bad they looked… I was in a hurry and it was hot.
That beltsander walked away with a chunk of my thumbnail though… That basta
rd. Hey, look at that unfocused after shot. Unfortunately, all of these pieces must be shaped exactly right… Something I obviously didn’t find that pressing at the time.”
I don’t many Caption Narratives make it to the clipshow, but The Third Great Trigady includes one this time. There’s nothing too great about this particular one, but Bloggaday 329 – A Caption Narrative: Naruto Kunai: By David “The Table Hidden in the House” Dysart had a decent opening, so I decided to let live on in the Third Great Trigady. If you’re not familiar with CNs, then I would like to direct you to the link preceeding the first line. It’ll hold your hand while you learn about it. Oh, and there’s some pretty pictures.
Bloggaday 330 – MAT2: I AM THE BOUGHTEN COMMANDER!
By David “The Man With The Meaning, The Guy Who Has The Gist, The Newbie Dabbler With The Novel Dreams” Dysart
I am the vanguard of boughten. Conform or you shall be smote down upon the building blocks of grammar
March 30, 2010 8:21:26 PM PDT via Echofon
I am the master of Boughten. Remember this f---ing face. Whenever you see Boughten, you'll see this f---ing face. I make that s--t work. It does whatever the f--k I tell it to. No one rules the Boughten like me. Not this little f--k, none of you little f---s out there. I AM THE BOUGHTEN COMMANDER! Remember that, commander of all Boughtens! When it comes down to business, this is what I do. I pinch it like this. OOH you little f--k. Then I rub my nose with it.`
Ah, the nap. Foreplay of sleep
11:15 PM Mar 14th via TwitBird
Do I need to make that Jay and Silent Bob reference a third time?
But really, is nap the foreplay of sleep? I think my initial thought may have been wrong. Your nightly routine like brushing your teeth is probably more of the sleep foreplay.
Napping is probably more akin to sleep masturbation. Not quite the whole thing, but when you don’t have time to get it done right, you have to improvise.
Yeah, I think I have all of this squared away now.
In the social interaction system, there are people considered especially heinous.
September 15, 2009 9:46:59 PM PDT via web
Yay me! I pissed somebody off and came up with a Law and Order spoof opening. Twitter doesn’t take long enough posts though. It’s probably for the best though, the whole thing was a bit on the rough side.
In this group, there is a special ability that their members possess.
September 15, 2009 9:46:57 PM PDT via web
Oh, hey! Apparently I decided to break it up into several tweets. See how smart I can has been in mah past. >.>
They have the ability to make others slam the table in anger and storm off. I am now, one of these people.
September 15, 2009 9:46:41 PM PDT via web
And scene. Great job everyone.
Um, woot woot, I saw Mr. Happypants in a live show tonight, terrible opener though, some guy named Brian Brushwood.
11:05 PM Sep 9th, 2009 via web
You don’t have to believe me, but this was amusing. Enough so that I got a message from Mr. Shwood himself.
Wow, that sounded dirty.
Mr. Happypants http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2fvl9PZU5AU
` I actually brought this fact up when a certain Billings said, “Boughten” just a day or two ago.”
Wow, I copy/pasted A LOT of content from Bloggaday 330 – MAT2: I AM THE BOUGHTEN COMMANDER! Even that title I considered good enough to be a clip form the show. But come on, that’s pretty brilliant.
Eah, it might not be as brilliant to other people. It’s got a bit of personal history with me (Boughten, not the title). Technically, “boughten” isn’t a word, and I’ve gotten grief from my psych teacher about it (hence the tweet). The whole Jay and Silent Bob thing was just a thing of beauty I stumbled into when I was putting MAT together. There’s more history with it, some of which was touched upon in the blog post.
And come one, sleep foreplay? How badly do you just want to give me money for entertaining you so? Damn, I need to do this kind of stuff more often.
Other stuff worthy of clipshowness was excluded from The Third Great Trigady, so if I was you, I would hop on over and read the original Bloggaday.
http://tiny.cc/Bloggaday332
“As I thought about the looming business that threatened to devour my coming future, I decided I wanted to get lost. These words are my yellow bricks.
I want to get lost in you
I want to get lost with you
I want you to want to get lost
I want you to get lost in me.
I want us to get lost… If but for a moment
Ugh, horrible poem is horrible, but it has some structural merit if you know where to look for it. TO do that of course, you’d have to read it on the original post. I’ve only included the last line of each stanza here.
If I have end up having ABSLUTELY POSITIVELY NOTHING AT ALL to submit to The Sand Canyon Review, I might end up submitting it, but there’s not a chance in heck that I’ll attach my name to it. Hmm, I need to com up with a pseudonym. Maybe Avi Sutten McKay. Sounds good enough to me. Hell, I think I have to do it anyways just so I can use Avi Sutten McKay. Though, looking at that, I wish my new last name started with a “k” and didn’t have the “Mc” in front of it. That way, my initials could be ASK. Hmm, I’ll have to give it more thought.
Well, don’t just sit there reading at me. Go onto the next clip!
