Bloggaday 202 – “Like” Boxes

Bloggaday 202 – “Like” Boxes

I was looking at like “likes” box when I went into my “profile” tab and saw that I had “liked” 16 pages.

My first thought was, “Hmm, that seems high.” After all, my liking is very similar to my twitter following. I’m very selective as seen in this Bloggaday -> http://thebloggaday.blogspot.com/2010/09/bloggaday-201-twits-following-twits.html, but I went through it, and no. It is, in fact, a perfectly fine set of pages.*

CauseWorld

Products

I signed up for these fine folks last semester when I had to do community service, but this a really cool thing. You download their app on your phone, and when you go to a partnered store, you “check in” on your phone, which gives you points. You use these point to vote for various causes. CauseWorld will donate money (which was donated to CauseWorld) to voted on causes. I’ve been too lazy, but I would definitely recommend it. It’s a cool and easy way to get your causes paid for.

The Sand Canyon Review

Consumer Product

FOLLOW US! I mean, if you would be so kind to follow our student-run art and literary magazine, we would be both ecstatic and grateful. We’re going to get our issues up on facebook and photobucket, so you will actually be able to read our previous issues! Oops, that was my outside text sorry. We’re going social media this year. Ooo, major restraint not to put an exclamation point on that one.

English 127

Communications

This is for the folks in the magazine class. So join the class next spring and get to be cool like me… … … Okay, you can laugh me on that one.

Power Teaching

Professional Service

Gotta say, I’m a big supporter of Power Teaching. It’s obviously not for everyone, but it needs some love. You can get all kinds of information and FREE downloads at http://www.wholebrainteaching.com/. Yeah, they changed their name to reach a broader audience. One of the pioneers of the method, my old teacher Dr. Biffle holds seminars on the method all over the place, but whenever he holds them at Crafton, I’ve usually helped.

Law Offices of Keith Dysart

I know when I’m in Santa Cruz and need legal advice, I go to the Law offices of Keith Dysart… You should too… Because he’s awesome… and a legalee… Don’t worry, he wont used made up words like legalee.

Stu, Tiffany & Jimbo

Local Business

I want to say it’s KCAL 96.7. I enjoy the station which is rock and role, but I’m not sure why I “liked their page.” I’ll unfollow them one of these days.

The Latest Research Group

Club

The Latest Research Group is a group I created for my psych club at Crafton Hills. I suggested the page after seeing how well it worked for the magazine. I don’t think she’s using it yet though.

Well, ain’t this something. I figured I would have to throw another little Bloggaday in here to get to 500, but this is actually going into two posts. See you tomorrow for the last post of the week.
