Bloggaday 322 – Snow White and the Seven Deadly Sins pt 2

Bloggaday 322 – Snow White and the Seven Deadly Sins pt 2
By David “I still had more stuff to talk about that I didn’t type” Dysart

Hmm, what else did I want to day? Looks like I was going to make a witty comment about how the mines were seeded with precut gems, but meh, I’m kind of tired and don’t feel like working it out into a joke, so I’ll just bring the point up. In the video, the dwarfs are mining gems, but they are all already cut and polished.
WTF?

Also, I’m still rather puzzled at what the plot is going to be. There’s a Loathly Lady of a witch* and a prince, so obviously, the witch has got to screw with Snow White’s life somehow or another, and Disney being Disney, the prince is going to have to swoop in and save the day. But what possible reason does Snow White have to pop up on the witch’s radar? Again, I could spin off into some theories, but that’s going to push this well into a third post, and again, no one wants that.
As for the whole “prince saving the day thing.” It seems as though they’re starting to move away from this a little bit. I think the female leads lately have been a bit stronger, but that’s not why I’m writing this Bloggaday. As I hope you have become familiar with this shady Wendy character from the earlier annotation, I’m just going to launch myself headlong into another conversation I had with her.
She was talking about the broadway production of The Little Mermaid. If you haven’t seen it and don’t want the creative liberties taken with it spoiled, just skip this paragraph. Have you left yet? No? Fine, here comes the spoilers. At the end, rather than having the prince ram his ship into Ursula’s gut,** Ariel crushes the shell that contains her power. Now granted, that’s a weak-ass ending, but I’m glad that she stepped up. It just should have been written better. While I’ve never seen the broadway version, and it COULD have been done well (the smashing), I doubt it was built up right. But Meah, it’s Broadway… ^.^;

You know what, I’m actually getting somewhat excited about watching Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs now. I mean, I know at least the basics about all of the old Disney classics, but apparently, I have absolutely no idea what happened in Snow White. I want to know what happens now.

And you know what?
WTF
Dwarves/dwarfs
I only have like 20 words left, but WTH? I typed it dwarfs first, but then I was all like, “No, it’s an ‘f,’ so that needs to be changed to ‘ve.” But nope, ‘dwarfs’ was used in the movie. WTD?***

As a last ado to this Snow White business, I’m going to leave you with what I said at the end of Bloggaday 38 – The Da Vinci Code of Disney Movie Rundowns

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
Again, one woman living with 7 men. Very progressive. Breaking the zeitgeist with the best of them, including Freud

Curious what all that business is about? I guess you’ll just have to go to Bloggaday 38 http://thebloggaday.blogspot.com/2010/03/bloggaday-38-da-vinci-code-of-disney.html

New to the Bloggaday? These are the essential posts to see
158 – Boxer V Brief – Short, concise joke machine and a DYNAMIC ENTRANCE! to my favorite Bloggadays of the Second Trigaday
http://tiny.cc/Bloggaday158
159 – A Phthalates-filled Sbarro Breadstick – This was just a funny Bloggaday despite the essence being something no one will get unless the look up what a phthalate is
http://tiny.cc/Bloggaday159
174 – FNtCCA,aToTbDD– While I think it’s clear I rarely EDIT the Bloggaday, this train-of-thought post shows how much I have to FILTER it…
http://tiny.cc/Bloggaday174
183 – SotW 13 – This one had it all. Pretty much every bit that’s been a major player in the SotW made its way into this one, so it’s a good one to try.
http://tiny.cc/Bloggaday183
134 – SotW 5 – This particular Song of the Week featured the characters a bit truer to their original concept. After a while, I started liking Tom too much and changed him a bit which caused changes to Chuck.

227 – PWND: TSHBRotCCPS pt16 was some solid fiction content. Plus, that was probably some of the finest Final Thought I’ve ever thought up.

*I doubt she’s actually a Loathly Lady as in the plot device, but ze Wendy Billings recently told me a bed time story that involved a Loathly Lady, so I figured I would toss it in there.^
** Ooo, I guess I didn’t really say that I was going to spoil the movie >.> <.< >.> Sorry \/.\/
*** Stewie Griffin. I met a rather talented voice actor recently. If you need one, -> Jason E Robbins
^ So basically, when I say Loathly Lady, I just mean ugly, would benefit from a transformation.

Close the screen, the awesome’s getting out
