Bloggaday 314 – SotW 30: Jar of Hearts pt 5
By David “Ho Ho Ho” Dysart
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Chuck: Hello, Bloggaday Readers, and welcome to this special Christmas edition of the Song of The Week.
Tom: Ho ho ho and Merry Christmas!
Chuck: Yes, well. This is part FIVE of Song of the Week 30, so if you don’t mind, I’d like to jump right into the actual music content today.
Tom: Oh oh oh! Well, our first song this week is
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Chuck: Pretty solid band from my own recollection, but I don’t know if I’ve ever heard that song.
Tom: Meah. It’s an okay song.
Chuck: The whole stocking thing is over. Are you actually going to do that voice all Bloggaday?
Tom: Nah. I think I’m done. I’ve had a sore throat all week from it.
Chuck: Yeah, I imagine that would take a toll on your throat.
Tom: It’s either the voice or your wife had a sore fallopian tube and it’s communicable.
Chuck: That doesn’t even make sense.
Chuck: What’s our next song.
Chuck: And the only Deep Purple song I know is “Smoke on the Water.”
Tom: Yeah, this was another okay song.
Chuck: I take it that means it’s not going to end up being our Song of the Week?
Tom: That’s probably true.
Chuck: And our third song?
Tom: #3 would be
Hey, that rhymed!
Tom: Oh, #3 is
Chuck: Wow, I’m feeling ignorant. I don’t think I’ve heard this one either.
Tom: I think this is one of his later songs.
Chuck: All right. And our last song?
Tom: That would be…
Chuck: Hey! A song I’ve actually heard before.
Tom: Ah, good for you.
Chuck: You didn’t seem to enthusiastic about any of the songs this week though.
Tom: Yeah. This was a pretty mediocre week for music, so I decided to spice it up with the whole stocking thing.
Chuck: Well, I didn’t actually believe you “stuffed” my wife’s stocking.
Tom: Oh, I did, I jut wouldn’t have went and talked about it on the SotW.
Tom: So you’re probably excited to hear what song bagged the SotW this week, huh?
Chuck: Not really, but go ahead.
Tom: Well, the SotW is…
Tom: “Jar of Hearts”
Chuck: Hey! The song I had heard of before actually got the title!
Tom: Well, with this anticlimactic ending done and sorted out, should we just throw our outro out there?
Chuck: Okay. Thank you, Bloggaday Readers, for joining us for this nearly week-long Song of the Week. From everybody here at the Bloggaday, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
Tom: Ho ho ho! God Bless us, every one.
1 one of the few mediocre songs on Hands All Over by Maroon 5.

New to the Bloggaday? These are the essential posts to see
158 – Boxer V Brief – Short, concise joke machine and a DYNAMIC ENTRANCE! to my favorite Bloggadays of the Second Trigaday
159 – A Phthalates-filled Sbarro Breadstick – This was just a funny Bloggaday despite the essence being something no one will get unless the look up what a phthalate is
174 – FNtCCA,aToTbDD– While I think it’s clear I rarely EDIT the Bloggaday, this train-of-thought post shows how much I have to FILTER it…
183 – SotW 13 – This one had it all. Pretty much every bit that’s been a major player in the SotW made its way into this one, so it’s a good one to try.
134 – SotW 5 – This particular Song of the Week featured the characters a bit truer to their original concept. After a while, I started liking Tom too much and changed him a bit which caused changes to Chuck.
227 – PWND: TSHBRotCCPS pt16 was some solid fiction content. Plus, that was probably some of the finest Final Thought I’ve ever thought up.
