Bloggaday 354 – The Third Great Trigady pt 9

Bloggaday 354 – The Third Great Trigady pt 9
By David “The Post” Dysart

The time has come yet again for another clipshow, this time the last for Bloggaday: Year 1. There’s still a few more regular posts coming, but The Third Great Trigady is going to fill most of the remaining year. Each of these posts contain some of the best of the last third of the Bloggaday, and my new comments add up to the 500-word word count.

Enjoy a look back at the last 100 posts. Until next time…

“Tom: Meah. It’s an okay song.

Chuck: The whole stocking thing is over. Are you actually going to do that voice all Bloggaday?

Tom: Nah. I think I’m done. I’ve had a sore throat all week from it.

Chuck: Yeah, I imagine that would take a toll on your throat.

Tom: It’s either the voice or your wife had a sore fallopian tube and it’s communicable.

Chuck: …

Tom: …

Chuck: That doesn’t even make sense.

Ah snap, esophageal cancer and a communicably sore fallopian tube? I’m on fire. Though I wish I would have pointed out that Chuck’s wfe could have communicably sore fallopian tubes though, since Chuck’s were just fine. It even would have been a seamless comment from the whole “That doesn’t even make sense thing” line. Dim it all. How did I miss that?
Well, the Christmas Day post of the Bloggaday was rather meah, but the build-up was, in my in-no-way-humble opinions pretty spectacular. In fact, if you wanted to experience the brilliant ectasy yourself, you can read them here: (Yeah, that build up isn’t going to disappoint anyone either =)

“B: Well, they found that have an above-average penis in length offers a gyroscopic affect.

A: Bullshit!

B: No, aside from the increased balance, it lowers the center of gravity and improves overall speed.

My fingers invaded my pocket, grabbing at the wires leading them to ear buds, but they pulled out a tangle not to be outdone by the most groan-worthy unearthing of Christmas lights.

I opened and checked around. What the? “Why is it dark?”
“Because it’s 10 o’clock. You’ve got to leave.”
“No, it’s like 9.”
“Nope,” he said. “10.”
“No, a.m.. A.M.!”
“Excuse me?” another voice came.
“Hey?” I said looking around. “That’s a woman’s voice isn’t it?”
“S’pose so.”
“I’m dreaming, aren’t I?”
The man looked back, “Considering what I just snaked out of the toilet, I really hope so.”

Ah, RAD…
I’m writing this February 1st, but this particular post isn’t even up on the interwebs yet (yeah, Bloggaday got a bit screwy). I have several posts floating around my computer ready to be posted, but I don’t think RAD ended up getting too much love. Well, it wasn’t the only unsuccessful theme post to fail. Hmm, I think I might have to make a Bloggaday about the various failed Special Editions of the Bloggaday.
I will say, there was some more decent stuff in the post, so you should go read it (obviously, it’s up on the internet by now)

“Tom: Hey, Chuck.

Chuck: What’s wrong, Tom?

Tom: Do you have the time?

Chuck: Time for what?

Tom: To listen to we whine about nothing and everything all at once.

Tom: Yeah, “Tragedy” is actually, in the words of a physics guy, severely mediocre.

Tom: Lastly, we have
“Basket Casket”
by
Green Day

Chuck: Hmm, that’s another one I haven’t heard before.

Tom: Welll… you’re about half right on that front.”

As I said after the last clip, these weren’t posted as I was compiling the clip show. I started reading this one, and was puzzled about the time comment. I thought maybe this was the post where Chuck started freaking out and hurried Tom to finish (the post…). But I thought, “But that was a while back.”
Then I read the Green Day lyrics and awesomeness ensued. The word document wasn’t tagged with a song, so I figured it was an incomplete Bloggaday with just an intro or something. I wasn’t thinking this post, which I had fun writing, and judging from my babbling, even more for reading.
Lately, as I’ve been writing these clipshow posts, I wish my comments could be after a clip rather than after all of the clips. If I could do that, I would have said something along the lines of “Hey! Callback!” after the “severely mediocre” thing. I can’t really do that though. So all I can do now is tell you that it was an inside joke, something that I called the physics guy out on when he said.
I also would have like to have made a comment about that last clip. Maybe something along the lines of a slow draw, “Iiiit’s funny because Tom was speaing the lyrics earlier…” But then, that doesn’t really work in the written form. It needs to be said aloud. So I suppose it’s a good thing I don’t do a running commentary of the clips. I would have looked mighty stupid.

And wow, I had just written the “I” in that last sentence when “Basket Casket” came on in my iTunes.
Crazy

New to the Bloggaday? These are the essential posts to see
158 – Boxer V Brief – Short, concise joke machine and a DYNAMIC ENTRANCE! to my favorite Bloggadays of the Second Trigaday
http://tiny.cc/Bloggaday158
159 – A Phthalates-filled Sbarro Breadstick – This was just a funny Bloggaday despite the essence being something no one will get unless the look up what a phthalate is
http://tiny.cc/Bloggaday159
174 – FNtCCA,aToTbDD– While I think it’s clear I rarely EDIT the Bloggaday, this train-of-thought post shows how much I have to FILTER it…
http://tiny.cc/Bloggaday174
183 – SotW 13 – This one had it all. Pretty much every bit that’s been a major player in the SotW made its way into this one, so it’s a good one to try.
http://tiny.cc/Bloggaday183
134 – SotW 5 – This particular Song of the Week featured the characters a bit truer to their original concept. After a while, I started liking Tom too much and changed him a bit which caused changes to Chuck.
http://tiny.cc/Bloggaday134
227 – PWND: TSHBRotCCPS pt16 was some solid fiction content. Plus, that was probably some of the finest Final Thought I’ve ever thought up.
